Kensal Eyes is a much loved and respected family business with a long history in eye-care. Wojtek Wieczorek (DBO, FBDO), a qualified orthopist and dispensing optician, established Kensal Eyes a decade ago with the support of his wife, Ela. Today, their daughter,
Zuzia, plays a key role. A family-kitchen-table-competition came up with the name Kensal Eyes.
Â
The Wieczoreks have been local residents for over half a century and are at the heart of their community, caring for generations of eyes. Wojtek has eye-care in his blood. In the 1950's, his father, a frame maker, and mother, a dispensing optician, worked from their front room offering bespoke service to appreciative clients. From there they moved to a shop in Warsaw's old town that is still run by the family today.

Wojtek, a fellow of the Association of British Dispensing Opticians came to London as a schoolboy and joined his grandfather to acquire specialist skills in treating children's eye problems. He ended up staying in London and after gaining his DBO and FDBO went on to Moorfields and other centres of excellence in eye-care. Following this he set up shop at No 1 Bridge House which
has been an opticians since 1939.
Â
The ethos of Kensal Eyes is patient centred, maintaining a longstanding family tradition with extremely high standards based on decades of experience.
